I had a set of Adam's Rotors on my GLI and they were great. You can get tons of different custom patterns on OEM spec rotors and custom painted hubs. I went with the dimpled/slotted on the GLI and really liked them with some Hawk HPS pads. The dimples made a little more noise then I would have liked so I'd probably go with just slotted next time.

I contacted him about a set of rotors. He wanted $5000 for just the rotors! I was laughing and he was serious.

There is no way. The e90 rotors are around $450 for all 4. So unless you requested solid gold plating, i can't see how they would be that much.

I wish I was crazy trust me lol I understand if the parts are crazy right now we should wait but he tried to get me to buy now. I am not stupid I can get two M Performance brake kits, a full Brembo or Stoptech BBK for that price. Not Good Business.

careful on the hawk HPS pads.. I used to use them for awhile.. but they make ton of brake dust.. it will get your wheels dirty.. other than dust, initial bite and heat resistance is great.
I can recommend ferodo ds2500 pads if you really want something that bites.. and quality. little more $, but worth every dime imo. (not sure if they make one for 328.. )
and don't cheap out on the rotors.. can't tell you how many time i've seen cracked rotors / wraped rotors just going through heat cycles on track..

I found some stoptech rotors on TireRack but they are rear only. Is there any reason I couldn't just buy 2 of each and use them on the front as well? I have m-sport brakes if that information is needed.

http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...taggered+Tires

I'd like to go ahead and order these but I don't want to just have my rear rotors only upgraded.

Yes, there is a very good reason why you can't. The front and rear rotors are different dimensions, both in diameter and thickness. I believe that the fronts are 14.6" and rears are 13.6".

Yeah that's is what I figured. I just wonder why they have only rears listed and none for the front.

I mean...you can get a 6-pot/4-pot front/rear stoptech KIT for that much...which includes rotors, pads, etc...

I know. It's aggravating our 335i oem brakes would be awesome with high performance pads and rotors but no options except whole brake kits.

Well like I said there are some options for rear rotors from StopTech at the moment listed on TireRack. I've tried to get in touch with StopTech directly for fitment reassurance as well as inquiry for front rotors but nothing yet.

I'm on my phone that's a big catalog to read. I got an email back from stop tech saying they do not have rotors that fit m sport calipers but only bbk's.

Does the catalog read otherwise?

Ya they emailed me too. The first $5000 quote was because he couldn't source OEM blanks. Now he just emailed and said he found a source for the blanks.

That's not TOO bad if you're tracking and swapping out rotors often...I wonder what he can do with pads too?
