Congrats PP-Performance! I knew it was only a matter of time! I also knew that the F10 was capable of 200+ mph speeds. I think you guys are the first to prove it. I can't wait to get a tune that removes the limiter also, so I can break the 200mph barrier. I'm seriously stoked about this.

Sorry about my mistake about the top speed achieved by MHR (memory served me wrong)
But, what I don't quite understand here based on the pictures: In the first picture the revs are at 6000rpm and the speedo shows 330km/h In the second picture the revs seem to be at somewhere around 6200rpm and the speedo seems to be just a tad under 330km/h In the last picture the revs are at around 6300rpm and the speedo is just under 330km/h The Manhart car has 314km/h at 6250rpm. There is obviously different angles the photos are taken from and the MHR and PPP car might have different diameter tires. But why does the PPP car seem to have less speed at higher RPM readings? Maybe I'm missing something here. I'm happy to be corrected on this Last edited by Boss330; 04-09-2013 at 03:34 PM.. |

While the PPP car hit 6250 rpm at 330 because its the PPP car limit is higher (btw the rpm was on its way to 7000 rpm but we couldn't stay on the same speed for long)

Boss-
The only way they could be at same rpm and showing faster mph is if manhart is on different tires, maybe possible. "When a car is tuned and vmax is played with, many things change in the car. for example, the MHR hit 6250 rpm at 315 because thats the limit for their car. While the PPP car hit 6250 rpm at 330 because its the PPP car limit is higher (btw the rpm was on its way to 7000 rpm but we couldn't stay on the same speed for long)" makes no sense, probably lost in translation. If the tires are the same... same rpm = same speed, no getting around that. Last edited by kylek13; 04-09-2013 at 10:05 PM.. |

I'm not questioning the difference between the MHR and PPP cars relative RPM and km/h readings. That must be down to different tires or different gear ratios (if PPP has changed the rear diff for instance). If the MHR and PPP car had similar tires and gearing, 6250rpm would give the exact same km/h on both the MHR and PPP car (and on a stock M5). Just like 3000rpm gives the exact same speed on any F10 M5 in the same gear and with similar tires. That has nothing to do with speed limiters in the software. So the difference between the MHR's and PPP's speed at 6250rpm in seventh gear must be down to different tires and/or gearing. What I don't understand is that on your photos, the PPP car seems to have less km/h as the revs rise. One explanation for this could be clutch slippage (or in theory traction problems between tires and surface - like you can have when dynoing a car - but which should be highly unlikely at 330km/h on the road). kylek13: Yes, tires might be different between the MHR and the PPP car (as i mentioned). That could explain the difference between rpm and km/h between the two cars. Last edited by Boss330; 04-10-2013 at 02:09 AM.. |

You are absolutely right. This information isn't right. Just like the 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds. That is Veyron stuff with 4x4. Also if you look at the second picture he posted and the one I attached here, what is the difference?

Didn't spot it?
Well the digital speedo is missing, so this picture has been edited. Why? I can only assume there must be some kind of an error message displayed, which replaces the speed info as it pops up. That reinforces the Boss330 smaller tyres theory just mentioned. Smaller tyres give higher readings. I call big BS. ps. I look forward to the clearer pics and video Ghanem promised us. |

good eagle eyes. i could not make out missing digital speedo until you said it. why edit video though? i said it back then when they stated 2.5 0-62kph that it was bogus. the problem you are going to run into on an enthusiast forum such as this if you don't disclose all info, you are liable to get caught think about it for a second: 0-62kph stated as fact no proper video at drag strip - spectator supposedly took grainy video vbox with low Gs night videos (must not be daytime ever where they reside) await explanation from PP and i pity the fool that buys all that as fact |

Just for the record. I believe GhanemMBN does not represent PPP, but is a customer of them. I don't think that these posts are official PPP information in the same way that Manhart does (credit to MHR for sharing so much info btw).
I have heard lot of good stuff about PPP Last edited by Boss330; 04-10-2013 at 06:57 AM.. |

My question to the OP is: you are doing that speed (what ever it is) in Comfort setting with MDM off? Yikes.
