V1 Hardwire with SAVVY

http://www.valentineone.com/savvy/

Installing the V1 using Valentine's SAVVY OBD connector is a snap. Plug it into the OBD port, run the wire up the "A" pillar and tuck it by the windshield to the center of the dash. Mounted the V1 right above the nav screen and it's perfect. 10 minute install.

If you install it this way, you have to make sure you either A) have to draw the wire up on the inside of the A pillar (so it doesn't cross the airbag) or B) you can pull back the weather stripping on the door frame and wire up that way, then once you get up to the top of the A pillar, shove the wire UNDER the airbag (what I did). If you don't do it this way and you're in an accident, next thing you know you have a metal radar coming straight at your face when the side curtains go off.

Whenever working around airbags, I suggest disconnecting the battery.
