Tpms and ftm

Apologies if in wrong forum but figured Canadians would know best. I was reading here that Canadian charms use FTM vs TPMS.

Is this true? If so, why the difference.

I ordered a next to new set of 400m wheels from a guy in California. Sounds like they have TPMS in wheels. Is this an issue?

Would be interested in any thoughts you have. A close look at pics show black stems though.

Yah. I kept reading here. I guess I got a heck of a deal then. New staggered 400m with summers for 2000 everything in. I'll use my luxury line wheels for winter tires next winter. Sell the tpms. How does that work then? New valve stems?

I think tpms is part of the valve stem so if you sell them you would need new valve stems. I don't think there would be an issue leaving them on the wheels though.

There will be no issues leaving them in the car
you can code your car to read the values its receiving from your tpms ie pressure and temperature
