My weekend away in the Peak District

AS many of you know, i went away to the country re-treat this weekend with my Miswah, and my friend benjamin and his lady friend

We all travelled in the 335d and mainly went as we had tickets to Racing at donnington park this weekend

They had qualifying and some races Sat and just racing sunday!

there was megane trophy cars racing, formula renualt 2.0 and the ''World Series By Renault'' which are also single seater cars with 3.5 engines and fast as fook:rocks:

there was also demo laps with last years Renault F1 car:rocks: the sound was awesome but they guy was driving like a girl

anyhow got some pics of the BM at the house and also on a lane, was terribly dissapointed because the camera died saturday and i stopped at some many places sat evening which would have been perfect for some great photography with the 335d

anyhow here is some pics

the journey up fri was SHITE:mad:

left our friends at half seven and didnt arrive till midnight

several diversions along the a14, one of which sent us the wrong way down the A14 SO WE lost a bloody hour near enough there..... then when we knew where we were going ( didnt have sat-nav woman speaking on which didnt help) there was more cones and diversions..

and we kept having to stop as the DXB is a ''Public Carlos place'' and people are not allowed to smoke in it or even near it, and as our friends smoked.. there was lots and lots of *** breaks

here is one

notice the smokers behind the car me taking pic and miswah in passenger seat

this was in a lay by somewhere after a FOOKIN diversion again

heres some pics of cloudy saturday morning when i arose

i really REALLY like this pic above not sure why tho

me looking a little weird

anyhow after the saturdays racing we went to THOR's cave which is very close to where our house is there, and trundled off to Castleton to drive through a wonderful Valley and it may have been called

the ''Devils Arse'' or that may have been another one, climbed a massive hill got dark struggled back down an dit was rather lethal miswah wrecked her UG boots, they split right down the middle she was not a happy bunny:mad:

she had to sit in the restaurant in her socks

also came across an old man in a 07 pugeout down a single track steep gradient lane, he reversed so much up the bank, took out a rock that his left rear was up the bank and his right rear 6 inches in the air

we had to push him out silly old bastid, should not be on the road

some pics from earlier sat evening (sun was out now)

back at the house

oh and a Renault F1 car

i am currently uploading vids from the F1 demo laps and also of the ''renault World Series'' racing onto the tube and will post links tomorrow:rocks:

Hope you like the pics

Carlos:rocks:

Looks like a fun weekend Carlos. Any dashing trips to the loo a la Monsieur Ashton?
Hope you didn't 'peak' too soon.

I don't have to agree to anything Fandango.

I wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with someone wearing a blue tank top though

Now please stop- my sides are hurting through laughter!

Have you not actually not noticed how high the drivers seat is? I wonder if he is sitting on a booster cushion?

Carlosh,

Here are a few pics I took on the Saturday:

Out-field at Redgate (damn fence):

In-field at Redgate:

The cars were all burping fire on the over run at the Melbourne Loop:

And a Panning shot at the same place:

Shame the weather was crap!

Carl,

I didn't know until last minute as I was given some tickets through Ron Haslam and my 70-200 lens was delivered. Obviously I needed an excuse to test it out

All I need to do now is to process the other 500 odd pictures I took LMAO!

Nice pics mate, glad you enjoyed the weekend - always nice to take your car for an extended spin away from the normal day to day routes.
