You aren't missing anything. BMW apps is pretty worthless in my experience, and I never use them.

It's not just bmw apps its the entire bmw assist. It kind of sucks that paid for something and I can't use it until I get back to the states....oh well.

BMW APPS is useless, as is any office integration with Iphone 5. I'm sure they will get it right at some point but the current interation is terrible. I have satelite so I dont use Internet radio. twitter and facebook are just ok but you really need to be parked and then the experience is better on your phone anyways. Iphone plugin does not work with my Iphone 5. Android support for my Galaxy is equally poor. The BMW Remote is un-timely and you cant track your car if more than 1K away, just useless. In the news app you are limited t a BMW News feed and I cant seem to find any others (Reuters ect....). Office will sometimes list new text messages but you can not get email at all. The whole Connected Drive / Plugin / BMW Apps needs an overhaul. It is a real miss for BMW to not deliver what the advertise. It's an even bigger miss that they can't fix it!

It IS possible -- though very difficult -- to get BMW Assist to extend your subscription to whatever date it should end based on when your car is re-delivered in the US.

I bought mine on ED -- and got them to add two months, which is how long it took from delivery in Munich to redelivery in the US.

Just keep insisting.
