Figured Out Why Traffic Info Disappears

In my area, quite often, the traffic info on the navigation map will disappear for about fifteen minutes at a time. This is rather inconvenient for me when I'm trying to plan my commute.

Today when it happened, I navigated to the "traffic info" screen. Lo and behold, all of the traffic info was for Seattle, Washington. I'm in Portland, Oregon -- 200 miles to the south. You can see from the attachment that the closest traffic "incidents" are hundreds of miles away. If I uncheck "receive traffic info" and then re-check it, sometimes local traffic info will display.

Either the "Leading FM Broadcaster" in my area is at fault or the BMW system can't handle out-of-area information.

I wonder if BMW is at fault here or the traffic info broadcaster is in error. Regardless, I don't need traffic congestion info for a city that is 2.5 hours away.

This is quite frustrating, as it renders the tech package real-time-traffic info useless. :-/
