Intank walbro road track fuel starvation

Anybody with the intank Walbro experienced fuel starvation on tight right corners when fuel is about half tank?
Talking about Road course / proper track only .
Pump is installed correctly.

Never had that, but I have some wierd things going on...I get the "yellow car on the lift sign" and a fuel pump malfunction code and it goes away within seconds...once it was accompanied with s limp mouse and it also wen right away....weird. no performance issues. Maybe a hose gets linked when bucket moves slightly when you take hard turns?

Don't mean to derail your thread OP, but do you know what cold/hot tire pressures, you're running on the track?

i lowered pressure cold tyre to 2.2 bar front and 2.3 bar back. Hot after a session they were about 2.8 bar . next time will lower even more.

A slight increase over the recommended pressures would help keeping the contact patch to the tarmac rather than rolling them under the car. By how much depends on the tire wall stiffness and the width of your wheels. Both of them help in keeping the tires to the ground, so consequently less over-pressure is needed to cure the deforming of the tires on hard cornering.

Last weekend I was at a track day and I noticed when I was slightly over a quarter tank I would begin to have the engine cut out from fuel starvation on left and right turns.

I have the Walboro In take 455.

Another guy with a stock fuel pump in his 135I was having the same issue so possibly not related to the upgraded pump and siphon.

^ I've seen you go through 2 engines and continue to track the n54... why don't you get an m3, looks like bmw really didn't bother that much with the track readiness of this car.

I believe this is a common issue and VAC came out with a weld-in oil baffle to combat the oil starvation. do a search and you will find it easily.

Oil starvation is a problem with this engine, especially with long sweeping turns.

As far as the OP's issue, that is not related to oil starvation. The pick-up's in the tank don't seem to be functioning properly/efficiently with track conditions.

My bad, i read it as fuel originally then switched it to oil half way through for some reason.

That's because fuel starvation can sometimes be catastrophic, I would think if for a couple of seconds the fuel pump stopped and fuel didn't flow but a ton of boost did, something would break or at-least stressed to a point it will still run but not for long.

well, still getting this issue on hard right turns. Happens only with tank level below 3/4. everything is fitted correctly . i have also changed the carbon filter on driver side. lpfp sensor reading fine.
I think that maybe the bucket does not get pressed down correctly or moves around.

Does the M3 lpfp with bucket works pnp? i am getting so tired of this that i am thinking about getting a second hand complete bucket and run the walbro inline.

Seems like inline is the way to go. I haven't heard any issues with the inline and lots of issues with the in tank swap.

I replaced my fuel pressure regulator and I have gotten no more codes...with it for a 1 hour install and $175
