turn by turn navigation

does anybody know how to get a list of directions with the new idrive system?
is this even possible
the shop foreman told me it doesnt exist, but im not convinced.

how could bmw miss this option??

After you've set your destination, pull the idrive knob towards you(left) as your facing the road twice(2). It should give you the turn by turn list(route info).

Service adviser's know very little(Product Knowledge). I sale them so I know the cars(BMW, Infiniti, Ford, Toyota, Chevy, ect).

An alternative:

With the map showing, push the Nav button once, and then select Route Information.

That will show you the turn list with distances for each leg.

If there's traffic, the screen is also nice because it shows you where along the route to expect traffic.

......and when you find the Route Info option, hover over it until the red box surrounds it, then press + hold the #8 button below the vents, and it'll be there to access easily instead of fumbling for it.
