Seriously though I really recommend you try and get a test drive in an M6/911 just to see what you like. The 997Turbo will go down as a legend while the M6 is amazingly fast/comfortable but not as nimble and responsive at the 911.

Take a test drive. A year ago I would have said M6, but the new 991 Turbo has come a long way from the previous one so now I wouldn't be so sure.

Assuming driving feel is the main priority, 911, ideally GT3. If practicality, maybe M6, especially if GC is on the table, though in that case I'd have expected the Panamera Turbo/GTS to be the cross-shop.
Caught a ride in an M6 GC at CotA driven by an M School instructor last weekend. Pulls like an absolute mofo down the straight, but feels like an absolute elephant in the turns. The 911 would pull at least as hard and feel better in corners. Just take your time before playing with the 911. Rear engine has to be driven very differently even at medium aggression, unless you just plan to rely on stability control interventions. But absolutely drive both when you're contemplating cars in this price range. They're different enough that it should be clear rather quickly which one you prefer.

My vote is for the 911 GT3. If that car doesn't work for you, then M6 or M6GC with cocaine white interior.
But you need to seriously ask yourself a few questions like: - is this going to be my dd - is it comfortable enough - ... - ...
