Are you referring to BMWOnline?
I have found the in car cellular data connection to be so pitifully slow that it renders the service virtually unusable. I want it to work and be good, but it disappoints every time. I end up getting the info quicker on my cell (handheld). |

I have not been able to get mine to work at all. Just spins and spins never linking up. Then after awhile it tell me to contact BMW. Just never really bothers me enough to waste my time on the phone with some tech who will attempt to talk me through the process. So, yes I do not think it is worth it.

Admittedly, it is slow, but it is not unusable. I find checking the weather, stock indexes, and new headlines helpful, although not critical. However, I find the gas price check extremely helpful, and although I have not used it much, I believe that Yelp can be very helpful.
However, if I am not mistaken, those apps are only part of being connected to BMW. Being able to send Google map destinations to the car and use the BMW Remote App I think requires some level of BMW ConnectedDrive. Those Re useful functions. |
