Removing scratches after being "keyed"
Have a 6" scratch on the hood and along the the right fender. Any suggestions other than refinishing the entire hood and fender at a body shop? Thanks in advance!

Find the Ass hole who done it and bash his head in with a run flat tire!!! That way it could never go flat and you could bash him all day long.
I sure as hell would. As for the advice sorry buddy not an expert on the subject. |

^ Very appealing notion
Deliberate key'ing is usually deep wound - might need a bodyshop to take care of it, but it will be pricey, esp. if it is metallic paint |

do address the problem directly, id suggest u go to a bodyshop. but if u have experience with a buffer, and wetsanding, u can easily do this u'reself. i have numerous times on family members cars.
simple as buying the touchup paint. filling in the spot. spraying the clear. allowing to dry, wetsanding it with 2000 grit paper to smooth the grooves. and polishing the wetsanding marks off with a coumpound, followed by a med aggresive polish, and finally a light polish. sounds easy said, but again, if u have experience id do it myself before anything. joy. if u need more help just reply, i dont mind offering a more detailed answer. |

he meant 20 grit paper.... its the best for your car... looks great on the surface and also gets you down into all those hard to reach spots!

If you feel that you have the experience to do it yourself, then go for it. Otherwise, take it to the professionals to get it done right. treat the E90 with respect!
