I just set the temperature I like and leave it. The A/C is good to have on as it will remove excess humidity from the air. It's odd to see the A/C light on in -30 deg. Celsius when your trying to warm you car up, but it was designed this way. -- My SA suggests to leave it on all the time also.

you can code it to stay off or remember the last setting. thats what i did.

My SA said the same thing but I think they say that because they know it stays on all the time and they don't want to deal with the questions as to why. I actually would prefer it stay off unless I want it on. I like to drive with the widows down and roof open on nice days and I always forget to turn it off. No a big deal to me but just kind of annoying.
