Turner Exhaust w/ Dyno.

All,

Interested in those of you that have dyno'd your car.

What process did you follow?

I installed Turner Exhaust about a month ago and went to Dyno yesterday here in Dallas. I also have removed the Carbon filters, and replaced OEM filters with BMCs. I have the "snorkel" underneath (for those who know). It was 98 degrees so I wasn't really hopefull for a great result.

I went with one of my buddies and his CTS-V. He got 495 RWHP.

Here's mine: 521.7 RWHP/ 534 ft/lbs torque.

If you use 15% drive train loss that's about 612 HP crank and 628 ft/lbs torque.

There was a weird hiccup during the 2nd and 3rd run and the guy backed off. (Funny to get 500 WHP "backing off"..... anyway)

The muffler delete exhaust from Turner didn't get all that..... I (as many of you are) am sure these are fantasticly underrated from BMW.

Car sounds great. Anyone in Dallas? I'll be at C&C at Classic next Sat am.

Just my $.02

Yeah, the dyno operator said the engine basically artifically limited the rpm to 6500 or so on the 2nd run and 3rd run, despite what the printout showed. I was standing near the driver window on the 3rd run and I saw the rpm cut at about 6,500rpm.

Even the first run, the shop owner/dyno operator said the computer only let it rev up to 6800rpm or so.

In short, my buddy's run at 521rwhp wasn't even run up to redline, so it's making some power.

My slug of a '12 CTS-V only made 495rwhp (Airaid intake, no tune as only mod). Here is a vid showing the good blower whine. It didn't sound as good as my buddy's M5 though with the Turner exhaust

If you look at the spec of the X5M engine compared to the F10 M5 engine there is no way the M5 will "only" make 552bhp. I reckon it will be around 600bhp standard easy.

Has Anyone Else Purchased this system? Likes or Dislikes. It seems that for the price it is one of the better bangs for the buck. although I would like to hear what others have to say before I dive in.
