Cobb data logging
So I read the detailed thread in data logging and i understand everything except one thing. I am going to start in 2nd and do the pull til the end of third. So i am suppose to start in second gear from a stop, right?
Next question is when i am in second, do i rev it up to 2500 rpm from a stop and then let go of brake and go full throttle. So wheels will spin and everything? Or do i just drive in second and when it hits 2500 rpm then go full throttle and start logging? |

Forget about 2nd gear.. you need a 3rd gear pull.
Get in 3rd gear on highway. Slow down till you are at 2500rpm.. then wide open throttle until redline. |

You dont need to switch gear. Stop the logging at 3rd's redline. You can switch if you want but it is not a must. If you redline the 4th you ll be going 220,230.. which is a little fast and dangerous |

At night on a small empty highway (no interstate), and only if you are comfortable with 110 mph, which is where the car hits redline in 3rd gear. Don't do it during the day when others are on the road.

3rd gear
ALL traction nannies off. Hold the DTC button for several seconds. 100% WOT from 2.5-6.5k RPMs. Dont hit the kickdown switch by mistake, you can roll into it a bit Capture the above with Cobb, and people will take a look at it. Google "datalogging with cobb" |

I hit data log, then ok, then waited til it went ot the screen that is monitoring everything, then went wot, then when i was done just hit the back button in the accessport, but aparently it did not capture it. Just went out of my way to do this, dangerous speeds and it didnt even work...

Ner my house, there is an open road half a mile long, no houses really, just surrounded by land and trees. It is a pretty wide road, nobody is ever on it at this time of night, and no where for a cop to even be. I will never drive this fast again on a regular road, it is very dangerous, but this was the best road I could think of and wanted to get a log.
I am using excel starter 2010 and i clicked on attach file but it didn't work, how do I upload it here? Last edited by tennis_pr0; 07-05-2013 at 10:45 PM.. |

Can someone please review my datalog? Also, I tried, but could not find anything, how do I organize these datalogs better? Is there a certain program? I wnt to do some more datalogs...
I should also add this was my 5th or 6th wot. I tried logging a few times but did not do it correctly. So this log ws after multiple woty pulls, and it was also almost 90 degrees and humid out. MY IAT's look good for that, no? |
