Ideas for a Cruise / Destination [Chicagoland]

Hey guys, I've been organizing monthly cruises for the last few months on multiple BMW forums.
I'd like to do another cruise for July 27th or 28th.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Sheridan Drive?

id like to go on a cruise in the backroads or something diffrent from chicago away from the city , somewehre with some twisties and turns

Sheridan drive up by glenco and head down to the city would be a nice drive... But that won't be a high speed drive at all..

I'll be down for something that weekend.

I've hosted cruises from the end of Lake Shore Drive to downtown Highland Park.
There's a great BBQ restaurant.

I'm thinking July 28th Sheridan Drive to Highland Park Downtown (1hr each way) for lunch @ Urban BBQ.
Or we could start @ Highland Park Downtown head south on Sheridan (the road is rougher), drive on Lake Shore Drive to maybe Jason's Deli on Roosevelt & Canal.

There are some nice cruise spots with alot of open roads in Northwest burbs, like in Bartlett

If you get on 59 from Lake street, there is a nice cruise up north im just not sure where it ends but the roads open up.

there are some super smooth roads from oak brook to schaumburg. nice cruising and plenty of good places to eat.

ps: im in wherever it is at.

Ideally that's what a cruise is about.

Someone suggested a great curvy route for the may cruise to starved rock, it was fantastic.
Sheridan is another great route from Chicago to downtown highland park or as far north as lake forest.

ya I live out by naperville and cruise out to starve rock all the time. the roads are twisty and for the most part nicely paved. From Schaumburg-oakbrook is mostly 355 which is just highway so nothing to exciting but you can get to a lot of interesting places from there since its in the center of the burbs.

+1 I work in Oak Brook, always love cruising home from work haha

haha ya I have an office in Burr Ridge so your not too far from me. Look up pioneer woods in google. Every once in awhile when its a nice driving day I take this way back to naperville and there are some fun roads starve rock like roads back in this area.

ya man no problem, some of those are just trails so dont let that fool you but its a heavily wooded area with a few really good roads in there.
