Dr. Color chip kit

Was just wondering if anyone here had any experience with the dr color chip kits. I have a few minor chips that need repair before they start to become rust spots. I've seen decent results with this kit (on my brothers Acura). Any suggestions?

I think it's a good option but won't achieve perfection. The search on this one was pretty easy:

It's hit or miss but generally worth a try. I've have great luck hiding scrapes on the front lip but a chip dead center of a flat panel - not so much.

They color match extremely well, the issue on flat surfaces is whether you can apply it in sufficient thickness to "level" the chip without pulling it back out.

Basically you smudge in on, give it a bit to set, then use a solvent and a cloth to clean off the excess with the hope of leaving the chip covered while removing all the rest of the excess. Works most of the time.

What about wrapping a small block of wood of rectangular object in a MF towel, apply solvent and then buff off with straight swipes. The block should help keep it level to the bumper
