Question 2 phones, one bluetooth!

Guys,
I have just ordered an F31, with pro-media, but NOT enhanced BT (I am unable to find out with any certainty whether this is included or not with the new manufacturing year models).

My question ... is it possible to pair my work phone via BT, and connect my personal iPhone 5 via the cable in the armrest, and be able to answer calls on either?
In a test drive of the current model (with Pro Media) I paired both phones successfully via BT, but can only use one at a time. Has anyone worked out how to do this without the enhanced BT option?

Thanks

my F30 will not allow me to pair two devices at the same time. You can have one paired in your pocket and the other connected in the arm rest, but the one in the arm rest will not be able to be used for phone calls only tunes.

As far as I am aware, without the Enhanced BT (which is not standard in the UK, even with Pro Media on 2013/2014 models), you can't have two BT devices paired and active at the same time.

Is this just a software upgrade if you have the 2013/14 model if I dont want the cradle and cables etc?

That I don't know - if BMW UK do offer it as a retrofit option, no doubt they'll charge considerably more for it than a build option.. if our cars are anything like the Canadian ones though, it looks as if it can be coded in:

You can have two connected, you have to enable it. I think only one can control the phone and the other the audio. I don't have two phones or else I'd check

Without enhanced BT, I do not think you have the audio connection option.

However, what I do not know is whether you can have two phones active for receiving calls. The BMW tutuorials talk about being able to have two phones connected for receiving calls, but only one of the phones can make calls. Not sure if that is offered thru enhanced BT or standard BT.

According to this FAQ, you can pair up to three at one time but only one will operate hands free at a time. This doesn't specify enhanced vs. standard BT.
