Bushing shock absorber

Going to drive on the track again this weekend and did a mechanical check and found a white bushing on the front shock absorber. Strange thing is it was only located on the drivers side and not passenger side. Does someone knows where this is for and if the factory did make a mistake to add this bushing also at the passenger side? Thanks!
