Yokohama AD08 Discussion

So the jist of the thread is whether I can fit these meaty AD08s on my current setup.

Rim: SSR Comp C square setup 18x9.5 ET35
Spacers: 5mm front, 12mm rear
Current Tire: 245/40 F, 275/35 R
Fender Rolled: Y
Fender Lip Shaved: Y

Speculated Sizes that I want to fit: 245/40 F, 285/30 R

Would the percent difference be too much?

AD08 in 285 width is going to bulge on your 9.5" rims. Maybe a staggered 245/40 & 265/35 combination would be workable (with some front camber). Google for some pics of "AD08 265/35/18" and see if its chucky enough for you..

Poop lol. I wish I could get a spare 285/30 AD08 and try!

Yay for tcKline, I think I can pull -3 camber in the front, if needed....

The 285s are almost an inch shorter compared to your 245/40s up front. I wouldn't go with that stagger.

An inch is quite a bit though haha. The fronts are really tall, and I don't think Yokohama makes a 245/35/18.

I'm feeling it. I'm about to try and buy 265/35/18 AD08s all square on 9" wheels (and I drive the 4x4 xi ). I know I fit (as I own them!) 255 Hoosier R6s, and a TireRack pro I spoke to says that the AD08s in 265 are same width as the 255 R6s. My limit is strut clearance/front fender in the front - that's with -2.8d camber. I have more room in back with 255 R6s, 285 maybe pretty close though. Call TireRack on that one.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Yep, 265 ad08s do fit on front. Are those 285s?

See my signature for links. Somehow it didn't show on my last post until I edited it. Camber is -2.8d, EC-7 9x18 profile 2. Tires AD08s 265/35/18 @ all 4.
