C'mon Dave! Put me in the P-car club. Most likely going that route in 2 years - my DD and track car all in one.

Yeah man...the impulse buyer that cannot wait for a bit pays that tax. I'm going to hold out until the lease is up on the M5, then get mine. No need to rush into it now...want to enjoy the bimmer for a bit longer.

On a side note I if you can handle waiting it out a year I would. All the components in the GT3 are new and its bound to have a few bugs here and there - a la Cayenne 2011s. Our Cayenne 2012 has been flawless thus far. Anyhow that is just my casual thoughts on it, the 2015 model will be the one to go for.

Money is relative no doubt but 20k is just too much to be the first on the block especially when the car properly built is 140k all in....

But they will get it all day long so why not ask for it. I have the new 991 Chassis in a C4S. 400 hp is doing it for me quite well so 475 will be stupid good. Power, sound, and handling is 100% win.

Do you really consider the GT3 a daily driver with kiddos?

I bet it gets left the garage wayyyyy more than the M5...

I haven't driven mine in 2weeks - have golf tomorrow and will need it for the clubs so it gets to come out. Nothing against the M5 its an amazing car but the R8GT is just more fun and exciting. I have a feeling the GT3 will be even more usable then my R8 and thus even better for DD use.

Yeah, this is what I expected as well, but reality is quite the opposite. For kid journeys we take my wife's SUV. I end up driving solo 90+% of the time, in which case the P car is by far the most involving and fun commuter.

I love my R8V10 as well, its modded with about 40 more whp (thats alot for these cars) and yet its very docile around town driveability wise. The only thing that makes it a little too crazy is the exhaust noise (GMG Race). I think the GT3 might be less usable on a truly daily basis. The suspension is going to be rock solid- maybe too solid unless one has very compliant roads.

That's not what all the journalists keep saying (Of course, we all know that journalists are not always to be trusted). There are repeated comments about just how compliant it is - which actually makes me a bit sad.

I want something raw and mind bending. I found the 991S to be a bit of a luxury cruiser, so hoping the GT3 or certainly RS will bring the raw
