Out of style?

Are deep dish wheels out of style or is the F10 not going to look good with them on?
I personally liked my DPE's on the e60, but haven't seen any deep dish on the F10.

Why not go with DPE Concave like the CS16 or CS20?

Totally out of style. I look at that car and think it looks like a used beater. Albeit a high performance old beater.

I think they are out of style too but of course, like all modding, that is purely subjective. I think the styling of the F10 warrants a more modern look like concave wheels.

Stealth, I am convinced I can make you love these wheels too. I will post couple more pics later.
I am contemplating getting BBS FI's when available

I like some deep dish wheels. Makes the rear look wider.

The modern interpretation of this is the concave with lip. Have a look at these much more modern wheels which have a similar effect but look far less dated.

MUCH better look. Agree 100%. I think deep dish wheels look like an old muscle car and not a new BMW.

Stealth, where are you in the South btw...

The look may be "dated" but I have to admit I love the look of fat deep dish wheels rolling on a BMW sedan. Very aggressive looking.

Would I do it on my car? Probably not. But when I see it I like it.

Stealth, maybe these will change your mind. I am honestly not trying to defend the style, but personally I liked them on my e60 and I was thinking of getting something similar on the F10.

Great looking, well maintained car. I am also a huge fan of the aggressive look that DDW add to most cars.

However, on modern cars I think the look is definitely outdated and doesn't look tasteful(IMHO). There are sooo many options that complement the M5, I certainly wouldn't even entertain this option.

First two pics in front of kid's beach (end of Balboa Blvd) in Newport, third on PCH just north west of mainstreet in HB, and the last at the park by the Queen Mary?

Disagree completely with those calling 'out of style' on the deep dish. I love the deep dish look. My favorite wheel of all time:

I intend to put a set on my '14.

Yeah... Parents live in Huntington Harbor, grandparents have houses on the water near 32nd and 34th street in NB, my Dad's boat was at the Balboa Bay Club for a while. Grew up motoring around Newport harbor and surfing the HB pier.

After I get my M5, I may just have to drive it home for XMas versus flying since you socal guys do so many events!

We have only lived here for the last 2.5 years, but I love the area and don't think we will be moving away any time soon.
Last night HB had a huge riot though after US Open in surfing ended. It was horrible.

Be cool to have you out here...we certainly could arrange a drive!

Grew up in HB. Funny thing is the City Council never learned their lesson after the '86 OP Pro, and the riots on the 4th in the mid nineties. They sold out to corporate pressure, making the sleepy community a vacation destination and certified tourist trap. Along with that comes a truck load of people and their $ for the "show". I'd never move back.

Sorry, back on topic.

The e60 looks great with the deep dish wheels. I think you'd have to go with 21's if you are considering the look for the f10 though.
