VMR Wheel advice

Hey guys,

Wanted to get some advice on a new set of wheels I'm looking at getting.

I have a 07 e92 with H&R springs and Koni Yellow shocks. Currently I run VMR v701's in 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the back. I think the offsets are 35 and 33. I have 235/30/19 Hankooks in the front with 265/30/19's in the back. The wheels are in pretty bad shape fron the Detroit roads and I'm looking to replace them all with the same wheel in 18s, except I'd like to go a bit more aggressive with the offests.

I would like to run 18x8.5 wth ET20 up front and 18x9.5 with ET22 in the back with 245/30/18 and 265/30/18.

Will that work? Or will I rub? My fronts have a small gap, but the rears are just bearly tucked.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Thank you,
George

You should measure your current fender clearance and go from there. We don't really recommend specs that aggressive for your car though. Those tire specs look really odd though. I've never seen tires in those sizes, if I'm honest. In an 18" size, you normally would run 235/40/18 and 265/35/18.

You may need to roll the rears if you're planning on using ET22 with 265s.

Thanks!

So if I ran 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 tires, with those v701 18's with +20 up front and +22 in the rear....up front I'll be ok, but in the back might need to roll up the fenders? But otherwise should be good to go?

How do i measure the fender clearance? Since i have 19's on right now.

use those offsets and tire sizes with a moderate roll and youll be fine

Fender rolling in the rear is definitely required, and I can't guarantee a setup like that would be okay up front. The overall diameter of your wheel and tire combo should be comparable to the set in 18s, so just check how much clearance you have and go from there. You should be able to calculate approximately how much further out you can go.

18x8.5s are about 23 pounds or so, and 18x9.5s are about 25 pounds or so.
