MPPK - Need super brakes?

Hi all,
Picking up my new 2013 335i xDrive from the dealer this week - so pretty excited!
Intrigued with the M Performance Power Kit. Does anyone know if it can be installed on the regular 335i with no further modifications (and the existing stock breaks will handle it) or it is also advisable to get the M performance big breaks as well?
To be clear - I am not a racer and do not intend to "smoke" anyone from the red light. Just want to have that little extra power and torque at my disposal if ever needed.
Thank you for your input!!

If you're not tracking the car, there's no reason for the performance brake kit (in my opinion).

Someone is going to come in here and probably tell me I'm wrong for some reason, but for 99% of owners, they don't need them nor will they ever utilize them

You dont need any brake upgrades. Just install ppk on stock 335i

I am not sure if MPPK can be installed later or must be purchased before driving off the dealer's lot - ideally would want to test 335i as is and then if found lacking in power would add MPPK

With the 35i X3's 0-60 in the mid-5's, any issue with passing is not through lack of power.

The 335 is a bit quicker, of course. The PPK makes it a tad quicker still, but if you want ("need") truly fast there are better choices than a BMW.

You are lucky. With a 330d stock without M-sport or M-performance brakes, BMW forces you to a more expensive MPPK that includes a font-axle brake upgrade. The only good part is that the brake upgrade is somewhat subsidized.

The standard brakes are plenty to stop the car.

Increasing horsepower has nothing to do with needing bigger brakes.

Stopping from higher speeds, more frequently, or a heavier vehicle necessitates bigger brakes.

It would seem a great majority of the general populace doesn't understand this these days. And even fewer know the difference between break and brake.

Exactly. BMW demands a brake upgrade on a stock 330d to allow MPPK. I would assume this has more to do with how they think the car will be driven than the actual power added.
