MPPK - Need super brakes?
Hi all,
Picking up my new 2013 335i xDrive from the dealer this week - so pretty excited! Intrigued with the M Performance Power Kit. Does anyone know if it can be installed on the regular 335i with no further modifications (and the existing stock breaks will handle it) or it is also advisable to get the M performance big breaks as well? To be clear - I am not a racer and do not intend to "smoke" anyone from the red light. Just want to have that little extra power and torque at my disposal if ever needed. Thank you for your input!! |

If you're not tracking the car, there's no reason for the performance brake kit (in my opinion).
Someone is going to come in here and probably tell me I'm wrong for some reason, but for 99% of owners, they don't need them nor will they ever utilize them |

The standard brakes are plenty to stop the car.
Increasing horsepower has nothing to do with needing bigger brakes. Stopping from higher speeds, more frequently, or a heavier vehicle necessitates bigger brakes.
