I decided to look at the 2014 Base 335i Xdrive to see where the MSRP would fall on a loaded base. What I noticed is the car pictured now as a Sport Steering Wheel?

Is this just a website flub, or did they now add Sport Steering Wheel (with the little bump on the grip for your hands as standard).

If not, is that the only real difference. IS the thickness of the steering wheel the SAME as the regular one?

Seems kind of weird they would cheap out on a wheel for a 55,000 BASE?

Not a flub. Sport steering wheel is now standard.

Wow, kind a big news deal? I am surprised no one else has commented on the value equation between a luxury line and a Base now.

If you are willing to live with some less awesome wheels, the new Base car might be a better value than a luxury line now. That is if you can live with less chrome. Which might be okay.

Jesse, do you remember where you read it? I think its good news for the whole brand, I hope the 535i gets a sports wheel standard. Never understood why that base car didnt have a nice steering wheel.
