pricey, but talk to CARNUTZ, they will tell you where to go. They should say Steve's Wheel Repair. Nice guy, works next to CARNUTZ in a small garage. CARNUTZ is in bellevue, off Northrup Way

Cool. I've been tempted to have my 162's powder coated "brake dust" color, since that seems to be the color they are mostly anyways!

Also spoke to Cascade Wheel Repair in Lynnwood formerly known as Custom Wheel Repair whom specializes in wheel refinishing. All the guys on the e46 forums had rave reviews and recommended these guys. Supposedly top notch quality there. CARNUTZ also stated the same thing. Going to check them out tomorrow. General prices for 4 wheels (sandblasting, powdercoat) is around $75 to $150range. Cheaper if you don't need the finish stripped. |

I would highly recommend Powdercoating Inc. in Mukilteo. I had some motorcycle rims done there and they had good prices, customer service and excellent results on the wheels. turn around time was about a week. Not sure if that varies, usually they give you an idea.
I've been contemplating getting my 197's powdercoated charcoal or graphite, let me know how yours goes if you decide to do it. |

It's either between Jim's shop or Cascade in Lynnwood. Pretty sure I will go with Jim and see how it turns out. Did you have your motocycle rims stripped/sandblasted as well? Sounds like he did an excellent job for you. I going to get the hyperblack CSL refinished in a matte black with a sublte clearcoat. I will get pics of before and after results for sure. Thanks again! |

I had them take care of the sand blasting. They have a local shop that does it and I think it was pretty cheap.
Basically I just dropped the wheels off and they took care of everything. I did have to make sure I didn't leave any bearings or anything in the wheels. Yeah, good luck. I'd like to see how they turn out. I want to get mine done but I don't have an extra set to put on the car while getting the wheels done. |

Nice choice in wheels/color. I just put the same setup on my car (look here):

Total came around $330 which included stripping (sandblasting) the original finish. They also powdered my tpms stems at no extra charge. Great friendly group of people and I would definately reccommend. I shopped around 4-5 places and most were asking $100-$140 per wheel.

looks sweet dude! now if I could only convince my wife I need to do my rims that color. She doesn't care if I powdercoat them, she just doesn't like black rims(especially with my black car).
