700 mile trip with OFT

Just completed a 700 mile trip with OFT Stage 1. All went well. Using 93 gas and averaged 30.5. Really happy with the performance and the mpg.

So drive on with confidence friends. Enjoy the power and mpg!

Pls help me understand how can u guys get that mpg with the power .. I'm currently JB4 G5 (avg 22 w/ 75% city driving), is it worth it to invest another $395 to get OFT ?

lol these guys are driving like little girls thats why...and its more of a trip so a lot of cruise control and constant speeds. i can get the same gas mileage if i did that too.

but....i drive mostly city and there is an awesome place where i drive and do runs to 150-160 and ive been averaging maybe 14mpg for the last 3 months so dont feel so bad.

How the hell are you guys getting 30mpg? I get 21-23mpg and I just swapped 1 of my injectors... could I be having injector related issues?

lots of variances in gas mileage are because of the driver most of the time. Could be simple issues like, injectors too. The 30mpg was all freeway so that seems about right if its consistant with no hills ext...

If your a heavy foot, 20mpg is average, if you do alot of city driving 20mpg is about right. If you drive 80+ 20mpg is about right

If you want to get 30mpg (freeway) you just have to slow your acceleration when leaving the city, set cruise control to 65 (to stop you from going faster), don't mix in e85 and don't get stuck in traffic on the freeway.

I get about 23mpg combined and my last trip to vegas yielded me about 26-27mpg on all 91. Op is also in Virginia, so they may not have any ethenal in there gas? I'm not sure... plus that extra 93 octane helps.

My injectors were replaced a few thousand miles ago, but like someone said, this was all interstate with cruise control and no busting @ss on the on ramps and so forth.

I did a 450 mile segment and a 300 mile segment and both times I was at 30.5.

Now, my daily commute is 30 miles one way. 22 miles interstate and 8 city. I average 25 each week. That's with one or two WOT runs a day on some ramp or some random place on the road.

The worst mpg I ever got was the first tank from the dealer. Because I flogged it for a week and even then it was 21 mpg.

I would add that on I77 near Charlotte, I was in a traffic jam stopped for 20 minutes and twice on I75 later for about 10 minutes a piece. I believe I could have pulled 31 without those incidents.

And really it comes down to normal accleration. I didn't slow anyone down while getting up to speed and I did 75 mph most of the way.

Totally confused on your MPG ??? I'm pretty much stock with an XI and I get like 18-20 MPG (when I drive nice). I do drive the car like it was made to, like a raped ape.

Today I drove from Ft. Walton beach to Atlanta, caught a Braves game, then went to Charlotte. I averaged 28.3.

I tore it up this morning in Alabama. At 6 am, nobody was out, so every time I'd hit a light with nobody in sight, I'd practice my launches. So I did several full throttle launches.

Just to double check. I did 458 miles on Friday and it took almost exactly 15 gallons to fill it up. So the 30 mpg was correct.

I'll test again on the way home on Friday and double check my mileage, but twice now I've done 450+ miles and only filled it with 15. For me pretty much right when the fuel light pops up.
