Can you put Snow tires on BMW F10 M5 Genuine M Double Spoke 343 20" Forged

Does anyone know if you can put a snow tire on the BMW F10 M5 M Double Spoke 343 20" or should I step down to a 19 inch wheel. I'm upgrading my wheels and hate to sell my OEM 20 inch for peanuts.....

I'd really appreciate the forum's opinions

Yep you can go 255/35/20 or 265/35/20
there are at least :
Bridgestone Blizzaks, Pirelli Sottozero for 255/35/20
or
Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D , Pirelli Sottozero for 265/35/20

for 20" dunlop 3d is my suggestion over Pirelli

I personally run 19" on Michelin PA4 (very soft & good traction). However, it wears a bit faster than I expect. May last only 2 full winters, perhaps 2.5 winters and that would be the story.

So, we can go 255 or 265 on the rears as well? Any stretch concerns at all with the wider back rim. I'm good with this idea, just curious though.

No problem running those in the rear. I would go with the 265 setup.

So I heard that going square setting on 4 corners are better than staggered setting for winter/snow condition. From the above replies, running 265/35/20 all 4 corner on our stock 20" wheels is possible and recommended?

I contact Tirerack and they actually recommend 255/35/20 all around. They are more choices for 255/35/30 than 265/35/20. I think I am going to order some as soon as possible.

I'm running Pirelli Sottozero 255/285 and I ran it last winter no problems on the stock 343 20's.

Are there any major disadvantages between going with 20 inch OEM 343s with snow tires vs the 408s 19s with snow tires? Could you put 265s all the way around on the OEM rears without any issues?

Yeah you can put 265's all the way around on the 343's. If you are in an area with a ton of snow then go 19's for more meat but if you are in an area with easy snow or streets that get plowed pretty good then you should be fine with 20's and 265's all around.

Apologies for the dumb response!

So on the same 20" OEM alloys that come with 265/35/20 on the front and 295/30/20 on the rear you can switch the tyres for an all winter set up on the same alloys with 265/35/20 all round?

The tyres in the UK are c.£1500 versus £3500 via BMW for their 20" winter wheel any tyre option?

Any comments appreciated!
