Getting your car ready for Gaydon...

Well this will be the first time I have taken my car along to Gaydon and I was wondering what approach people take to getting there car ready? I have cricket Saturday which is seriously going to affect the number of hours I can put into the car.

I spent the time claying, SRP & High Gloss polishing a couple of weeks ago, but will probably have to make do with a thorough clean on the Saturday morning but with the weather forecast for rain saturday afternoon/evening and an early start on the sunday...

What do people do to get that show quality shine? do you take something with you? any tricks? tips?

Get there for 8am and spend a couple hours cleaning the car

But I will give the car a proper clean Saturday evening, so dust is all that needs to be taken off on the Sunday

+1 everyone gets there early! they have an hour to "spray detailer" their cars up and polish the wheels!

if your cars been clayed, smooth and clean it will be fine! just ensure your wheels are mint!!!

see you guys there!!!!

Is there access to water? Do you use 'waterless' cleaning products?

I intend on being there for 8am... just not sure what to expect/take with me

ensure your car is properly clean before you leave!

when you get there you literally just want to take a spray detailer with you and a couple of micro fibres! clean the dust off the car and make it shine! Meguires etc do a good detailer!

maybe something to get the bugs off the front bumper? and some tyre shine!

other than that you should be all good mate

Will take some water and products for the final once over in the morning of the show.

I've not seen rain forecast for the weekend so hope that's true

The weather gods have been kind to me. Dry roads for journey home. Just rinsed the car again as it rained and dumped half the bloody Sahara desert on my car

Just buffed with MF's so it will (all being well) be clean in the morning
