Interesting...in the bad kind of way..re: Castrol TWS 10-60W oil

Put it in my car for the track event this weekend...and noticed immediately that the car is running a hotter oil temp just cruising around town...this is the OPPOSITE of what I want...I hope that I dont have to change oil at the track on Saturday...Ugh. I am gonna buy some extra oil just in case..what is OEM oil viscosity again?

If this runs hotter at the track than stock, I would try the Redline 10W40 next. I am putting this in my car next time I change the oil to compare to stock.

Might be able to pick this up AT the track..since I will be at Sears Point..and they have shops there...Wine Country Motorsports to name one.

Ive been switching back and forth between castrol and mobil 1 on my M3. The castrol smells better when its burning IMHO.

That being said, Im going to try Royal Purple at the next oil change. Ive been reading a lot of good stuff about it.

I use Motul 300v 5w30 and my car seems to have been more resistant to higher temps.
