OP, the extent to which any car wheel will "resist potholes" and the like depends on a number of things, not the least of which is how fast you intend to hit the pothole with the wheel, the pothole's proportions, the weather, etc. With the right set of circumstances, you can bend/crack any wheel.

My personal favorite brand of wheel is Ikonz; however, there are plenty of good wheels and wheel brands out there. The best ones are the ones that you like the looks of and that fit your budget. Ideally the ones you like and can afford comfortably will be forged. Multi-part wheels offer greater repair opportunities if you do bend/crack a wheel on a pothole, but they also cost a good bit more. If you can't sleep tonight because you are worried about tomorrow's pothole, buy multi-piece wheels. Here's a site with a great assortment of wheels: http://www.mambotheme.com/exclusive-wheels/ . And here is another whose wheels aren't found on that site: http://www.iconzwheels.com/home.html . Whatever design you decide you like, there's almost a 100% chance that multiple makers make exactly (for all intents and purposes) that design of wheel, so shop around.

If you can afford forged wheels, and you are buying purely for aesthetic reasons, buy the least expensive ones that your budget and that you also think look good. If forged wheels cost more than you want to spend, buy the least expensive wheels that are in your desired price range and that you also think look good.

As long as you stay with 18" or 19" wheels, you can safely just buy something you like, take it to an installer and let them worry about the rest. If you have a specific question, ask the wheel maker or the installer before you buy them and/or have them shipped somewhere. Alternately, if after you have gained some basic knowledge on your own, you have a specific question, you may want to ask it here on B-post.

Since you are a newbie, I think you probably should do your own research in the wheels section as well as outside of B-post so that you can pick up some basic wheel knowledge. Once you have that knowledge, you'll be in a better position to ask specific questions and to evaluate the merit of the feedback you receive. Here're two links to get you started:
http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-acc...ls-ar8622.html

http://www.edmunds.com/how-to/how-to...nd-wheels.html

All the best and happy shopping.

Ok didnt express myself well, not that much of a newbie ive had experiences with wheels and mods with other cars but im just trying to get a good set of wheels that are known for their strong material use and aesthetics at same time. Money is not a problem for me but lets say im not wanting togo crazy about wheels and put some set of vossen. I like the avant garde and v710 but just scared of their durability since i never had one. All i need is some info about current 335 e92 owners with aftermarket concave wheels to shoot some of their fitments out here.

Thx for the reply tho it is appreciated but i do have some background knowledge about beemers and the mods or i wldnt of had bought one straight off like this.

Get the V710's as 18's and you'll be fine. When you have almost no sidewall because of a low profile tire/large rim setup you will easily crack rims.

I think 18" would be your best bet. You get a mix of the performance of a 17" and the looks of a 19"

Forged wheels hold up better, but they cost more. Check out Morr wheels. I'm a big fan of the VS.8's

No problem. What i really like about VMR's is the price. A set of brand new V710's is $800. They are one of the best options at that price point.

Go with quality wheels. Don't buy reps.

18 inch wheels would work best for you since you have so many pot holes in your area but you will defintely have to lower it so it would look right..19's could work also but you will have get the forged if you want them to survive...Me i have Advant Garde and i'm not concerned about bending a rim because 1 rim will only run me another $250 if that much to replace it.

Not everyone's opinion certainly, but I went with reps with the understanding that when/if I crack one I can replace it inexpensively.
