Just looking to upgrade front suspension

I looking for a coilover set up for just the front.

To make a long story short I have and will be installing KW v2s in the rear next weekend and the front of my car just has lowering springs in the front from the previous owner.

What would be my best option for just front suspension with either a spring and shock or if there is a coilover kit I can buy for the front only so I can match the ride height in the rear. Thanks for any help with this!

After doing a little more research I'm thinking my best bet is going to be h&r sport springs and then just buy bilstein hd front struts. I don't track the car but would like to have better handling and get around a 1.5" drop in the front

Just checking with the suspension gurus out there if this will be a ok setup or will mixing the h&r springs with bilsteins up front and kw in the rear gonna screw up the balance of things???

if you want to hear the correct answer, its no its a horrible idea.
It is not recommended to have different suspension front to back because the rebound and dampening and...well everything will be different. straight line its not bad but with dips will turning it will be unpredictable.
thats what a suspension guru would say.
saying that.....i have Koni FSDs all around and just front H&R springs (as i have E93 and by accident installed E92 springs so my rear was way too slammed for daily driving so i removed them and went back to sport springs).
id recommend the koni yellows over the Bilsteins though
im assuming you bought the rear only set of KWV2s that someone was selling on here for dirt cheap

You are correct. The price was too good to pass up. I'm was planning doing the suspension at the same time I do new pads and rotors so I have about a week still to figure out exactly what I'm going to do here now

Buy matching front coil overs or don't do it.

Or a third option, go ahead and set aside the time to swap the rears back out to what you have now when you realize how terrible and unstable your car handles after installing coil overs in the rear only.

This sounds like a disaster. The car will be so inconsistent and uncomfortable. Just save up and get matching coils, front AND rear.

what if i was to buy a set of kw v1 and use the v1 in the front and the v2 in the rear. since the rebound would be the same front and rear (not adjustable til v3) that would be ok i think since most people with v2's more than likley dont have the damper set the same for front and rear.

i only have 300 invested the the rear v2's but if i could save a few bucks and get away with v1's in the front i would be ok with that since i really only wqanted to be able to adjust the damper in the rear anyways and would more than likley leave the front damper stock at what ever kw ships them at...

Thank for spending my money for me guys

But I have decided to call this a lesson learned on impulse buying (about the hundredth time I have learned this lesson....)

I'm gonna just get the v2's and have a spare set for the rear or get bilstein pss9 or pss10's

I have a friend that works at a hot rod shop and there a bilstein dealer so I'm waiting to hear what he can get me coilovers for before I pull the trigger. Again......
