E93 Offset Question

I'm in contract with a (wheel) dealer to buy some Beyern Mesh wheels and i contacted him about the offset and forgot to mention its an e93, i just said 3 series and he recommended a +30 18x8.5 front and +45 18x9.5 rear. Will these work? I'm trying to get rims that wont run into issues with rubbing.

Stock suspension, but I might see myself lowering it in the future. What offset's would you suggest if not those above?

Basic setup. It will work without any problems with 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 tyres. Rear could use 10-12mm spacer. If they have 18x9.5 et35-30 offer to rear, i would go with that.

It was only et45 and et30. Should i stick to the et30 then all the way around?

Adding a spacer wouldn't be that big of an issue. Have spacers been known to break or are they reliable?

You can definitely go more aggressive in the rear. ET30 all the way around for a square set up and then you can add a spacer for wherever you want it to be more aggressive. Goodluck!

I would go with 18x8.5 et30 and 18x9.5 et30. Tyres 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 or 235/40/18 and 265/35/18. Both will fit.

As for spacers there are lot of quality spacers and then there is those cheap ones, that i wouldn't use.

Thanks, just got my shipment for those offsets. Does anyone know if a 275 35 18 will fit in the rear? My local shops have more choices in 275 than they do in 265

Fronts should be fine, the rears you may want to throw on a spacer.

Thanks for the help!

Ive been doing some research and most went with 275/30/19 why is that? with the calculator in this section of the forum is says the 35 is less than 1% difference from oem but the 30 is more than a 1% difference. Are people choosing 30's because there 19's? I havnt seen anyone with a 275/30/18 or at least come across a post in the search about it.

Thanks!

With 275/35/18 it probably starts to rub. Of course fender roll fixes that.

Because 275/30/19 is correct size for 19 inch. 35 height profile is for 18 inch. It goes like this with stock factory sizes.

225/45/17 and 255/40/17
225/40/18 and 255/35/18
225/35/19 and 255/30/19

And you don't need rear spacer with 18x9.5 et30.

You shouldn't rub with the 275 depending on the brand of the tire. You can add a little bit of negative camber if you do rub a little.

+1

The profile will depend on the wheel diameter, in order to keep the overall height around the same as stock.

Ok thanks everyone for the info. I'll let you know what happens when i pick a tire. Still waiting on my new tpms sensors to show up, once they do i plan to purchase some tires (hopefully i can find them locally)

I was planning on going with some bfg kdw nt but my local store sold out and wont be getting them for a little while. I might just wait for them, or order online but does anyone have any other tire recommendations for wet and dry weather performance?
