Can you get to front strut top nut?

I have a 335I E93 and it sound like the front right strut nut might be a little loose when go over the curb. Not all the time, but I would like to check. On this car the center hole of the top strut tower has a black steel plug in it. Is it removable or do you need to drop the suspension to get to the nut? It would take a trip to the dealer then.

Thanks. ML

just pop off that black plastic plug with a screwdriver, and you can get to the nut underneath.
