To H & R or not.....?
I have been thinking about whether to upgrade my suspension. I have a 2011 e90 with 109k on it. I do allot of driving for work and this is my daily driver. I have TCKline's on my M3 and love them but I am not looking at spending that kind of money for this car.
Based on my research and those who I have spoken to thus far, I am leaning towards H & R over KW and the others. Looking at the H & R Touring or Sport Cup Kit or the H & R Street Coilover Kit I would welcome any input on whether H & R is the way to go and which kit. Thanks,

Hello,
I've had the Sport Cup Kt on my 1 series 130i. Great suspension, nice drop (a bit on the lower side) and no rake, very evenly front to rear. Springs are different from the H&R lowering springs and only work with the Cup dampers. Touring Kit is basically the same with less drop and more comfy. |

For a daily driver, why not upgrade to the more comfortable eibach pro system kit (.5-.75 drop from sport ride height) or the eibach sport system kit (1"-1.2").
You'll have a comfortable ride with OEM Sachs quality in eibachs dampers, and a decent drop. The touring kit is very doable but the sport kit is pretty poor compared to eibach. In each category of lowering sets, the h&r's will be slightly lower and more than slightly less comfortable, while the eibach will be less of a drop but definitely more comfortable. Not putting down h&r- they make fine products. But all those miles under my butt, I'd buy the pro-system from eibach for $715 shipped and call it a day. By the way, I started a thread about which bumpstops to pair with the suggested setup. Hoping to order either e36 m3 bumpstops or BMW performance suspension bumpstops. Or possibly some eibach specific bumpstops. |

I have H&R street performance coilovers. I daily drive my E90 and very happy with them. At the same time I have never used KWs so I can't compare them to the H&R s.
