F30 Luxury Line Suspension
I have a 2013 BMW ActiveHybrid 3 with Luxury Line. The only packages and options I have are Cold Weather Package, Driver Assistance Pckage, Premium Package, Technology Package, and HK surround sound. Can somebody please tell me the difference in suspension between my car and a Sport Line, M-Sport line, and M Performance suspension please? Also, can anybody recommend any "non-hardcore" suspension mods (aka springs? sway bars?)? I'm also deciding on getting a set of staggered wheels for spring-fall and using my existing 18" multi-spoke wheels as my winter set. Do wider/staggered wheels improve handling?

You have the base suspension shared with the BASE car, Lux and Modern lines.
Sport and MSport(we are only talking RWD here) have more sporting swaybars and struts. The MPerformance suspension takes it up a notch and is even stiffer. It utilizes the Sport/MSport swaybars, so they have to be added for base suspensions and features stiffer springs that are about 10mms lower than MSport/Sport springs and matches struts. The staggered wheels should aid a bit in traction as power is a bit hard to plant on the standard 225's, the torque of the AH3 will be applied a bit easier with a 255-275mm rear tire.

Does my car have front and rear sway bars? Do you know how difficult it is to upgrade my current set-up to have sport/m-sport sway bars? I'm worried about not being able to rotate tires with a 255 setup. Also, is the sport/m-sport stock lower than my current setup?

The Sport/MSport springs are 10mm or so lower.

If I also switch to Sport/MSport springs, do I need to switch out anything else or can I just switch them out? (i.e. dampers?)

I do not see much of a point to switch to Sport/MSport springs vs H&R Sports, the cost is in the labor, not the parts.

In the US, Sport and M Sport have the exact same suspension. It's option code 704, both known as M-Sport suspension, even on the Sport line. Both Sport and M Sport RWD are 10mm lower than base/Lux/Modern.

So from what I've read, the Sport Line and M-Sport Line have the same struts and springs? My luxury line has different springs. Now does my luxury line have different struts as well? There is a post under the classifieds for M-Sport Springs and I'm wondering if I should just swap mine for the M-Sport springs or spend a little bit more and get M-Sport springs and struts. Also, how hard is it to get the spring/strut assembly off the car?

I think Shivaswrath got the M-Performance suspension. I'm just looking at upgrading my base suspension for a slightly sportier M-Sport suspension. I'm hoping to get slightly better handling and a slightly lower ride height. So it looks like I have to spend a little bit more money and switch out the struts and springs in order to get the stock suspension that comes with an M-Sport vehicle?
