The shocks/struts are what are adaptive, swapping them out would delete the DHP. Dinan is working on a software upgrade that works with the BMW DHP.

Pretty limited from what I've seen online.. like you said springs are the only thing that are upgradable at this point. If you have DHP/ M sport adaptive with X-drive you're even further out of luck

Ordered kw Ddc pNp for 335xi with dhp. Hope it would be nice! The installation is very simple and this is possible because the car has dhp in stock.

Well, then if you change the original suspension with the optional adaptive dampers for the KW DDC type (for example) as SonicSonic above mentions, you lose the "adaptive" feature of the adaptive suspension, because the KW DDC is not adaptive in the meaning the OEM optional adaptive suspension is (i.e. that it adds the Comfort+ mode and it regulates at all times the level of the car through all dampers).
As far as I was informed, the OEM optional adaptive suspension can do that, but the KW DDC coilovers canīt, so if one wants to buy any other coilovers (like from KW), itīs waste of money to order the adaptive suspension from the factory (once you change the dampers, the "adaptivness" is gone). |

Anyway, Iīm in the market waiting for the 335xd and I also plan to change the original dampers for KW DDC PnP set, since the original suspension for the xDrive models is rubbish. If you donīt mind, please let me know, once you install the KW suspension, how satisfied you are. And have you got the 19" wheels with RFT tires? If you would post any pics after the installation, it would be great as well (Iīm also interested, how low looks the car with standard / highest setting of this KW suspension - donīt want to be too low for an xDrive). Thanks |
