Put My BC Coils on.....

The guy that put my coils on said he put me all the way down on the last thread but I'm exactly the same height as I was on my tein springs, hell maybe if higher. Did he install something wrong, are they just not settled yet, or I'm I just not down all the way? (He's done the instal mult times on an e92)

From the pictures they look pretty much identical. I don't know how low BC drops the car but maybe give it some time to settle a bit? Either that or check and see if it's actually been lowered all the way.

should go lower than that. Im guessing he installed the rear spring spacer, and maybe didnt get the strut full bottom on the from hub assembly.

ok so the front can go a bit lower but it's more the back that I'm concerned about now as I really can't go any lower in the front without rubbing, is it easy to take out the spring spacer or no?

yes you just drop the rear control arm, pull out the spacer and then reassemble everything.

Who did you purchase the kit from and who installed it?

BC makes an "extreme low" kit for those who really want a kit that dumps the car. The design of their coilovers isn't like many of the other kits available for BMWs. To lower the front you adjust the lower mount on the shock body, NOT the spring collar. If you want to go lower in the rear and the perch is already bottomed out, you can request a shorter spring. You still have to match the shock height once that's done though.

I got the kit directly from BC and I had a buddy put it on for me, they didn't have any of the extreme kits in stock so I just took the regular one

If you take a look at the number on the rear spring you'll see its marked with a 3-digit number starting with 1. It's the length of the spring in MM. You can get a shorter spring from BC in 10mm increments if you still need to go lower.

It's hard to tell, the fronts are sitting perfect now after settling they have a slight tuck, but I actually have a little wheel gap in the back that I need to get rid of

This my BC racing BR coils and they are as low as they go at rear. Front can go little bit lower.

Sounds like the spacers are still in there as the others said. Get them out, you can probably rig up a spring compressor for the spring, then pull the spacer out by hand. Could probably get it done in 15 minutes.
