Thumbs up M Track Day OCt 10 Thunderhill

Hi All,
I have set up a private track day at Thunderhill. A few folks have had to cancel now so have some spots open up. The cost is $400 for a FULL DAY of track time INCLUDING a CD of pics of you on the track by the well known Got Blue Milk track photography group. The track will be fully serviced with corner workers, EMT, Tow and concessions (and skid pad for some drifing). This is a group of friends/enthusiats and will be a day to remember with around 20 - 25 people on a 3.5 mile track. (For those who dont know this track, there are normally 60+ folks sharing the track.) PM me for payment options. This will be first come first served.
I will have my SC E39, F10 and M3 there....
I do have arrive and drive options set up for those who would like to rent a track car.

It is in N. Cal close to Sacramento.
Most of us are spending the night at a local hotel so we can get up and drive in the am.

Thanks for setting the up Barry. Paid. Going to be an EPIC day. The track looks fantastic. I'll be there with my F10 M5, and, may look at renting a car as well. Considering that the other HPDE events are $300, and you get maybe 4-5 25min sessions, it is a fantastic deal.

Oh, a video of the track - have to watch it over on vimeo...sharing settings

Since you're in So Cal, just wondering how you will get your M5 to the track? Are you driving all the way there?

Yes I do. I had a few guys have to cancel hence opening it up to the Board. Your timing is perfect. We are going to hang around the Bay Area in Fri so just a hop skip and a Jump to San Jose. Much better than SWA....
This will be a day to remember. Come and join us! I'm in palo alto so can entertain for the day....

Do it Jose! I am confident that there will be a number of good drivers at this event. Also, it looks like this track is well suited to the M5. I could be wrong, but depending on the setup (there are a number of track setup options) there are sweeping turns and some pretty decent stretches.

I heard that SCCA built the track as a learning facility. It should be really, really fun. With the small number of drivers, you'll be able to run as fast as you are comfortable. That, is awesome.

Awesome. My State Bar conference begins on Oct 10 in San Jose. I'm trying to find out when my mandatory meetings and conferences are scheduled so I know if I get to sneak away. How far is the track from San Jose?

2.5 hrs...no traffic. With traffic, can be much longer.

I think it'll be perfect for the m5. a lot of straights, no walls, a lot of run off.

Jose, you just need thu (10th) off. Register the eve before. Do it! Leave SJ after traffic, spend the nite where we are by the track and convoy west with us after?

it's farther than that. Lot's of cops on the stretch after Vacaville too so I would take it easy going up there.

See you guys there.
