Thumbs down US folks - Estimated Lease Rates on the bmwusa configurator

Maybe this is not new, but I see estimated lease rates and they look awful. For a 36mo/10k lease on a low optioned X5 35i xdrive with ///Msport (MSRSP $62,625) comes out to $1,754/mo. WTF?

The lease estimator for the 2014 X5 just went live as of today and is unlikely at present to be accurate.

Must be an error - it's actually $1,754/week.

Also as far as I remember, those calculators assume that you are paying the as configured MSRP and not whatever you can negotiate with the dealer.

Configure a X5 xdrive 35i, add ///MSport + Rear Seat entertainment and watch the lease disappear.

The car companies all have a maximal residualized msrp (MRM). Once you hit that point you pretty much have to pay for the overage in the divided payments of your lease.

On a 2014 X5 xDrive50i that is around $81,500. If you add options after that you will pay the entire cost divided by the lease term.
