Can you also take pictures and post the whole process of plasti dipping? I'm sure many members would appreciate it. Especially interested how you create the right shape and take care of the edges.

Well I will say, very time consuming. I had to peel paint off on one side due to when I was removing the tape I didn't pull it on an extreme angle so it made a pull in the paint that I couldn't just spray over so I only got one side done today but very happy with it...will post pictures tomorrow if its sunny.

you have to be very good at taping bc you have to lay down on your side to tape it if you kneel or try to sit you are not looking at the rocker straight on which makes it extremely difficult being you want a perfect line. My one side is identical to the M performance decal.

So I have to re tape the passenger side and start over...wasted 5 coats on that side too

will keep you updated, also when I started spraying of course the wind picked up exceptionally making me spray then stop and waiting for it to die down, meanwhile all morning it was nice and calm out lol

Can the job be done if you already have the Side Skirt Blades installed?

I mean the M-Performance Side Skirt Blades, the plastic polyurethane bit's the install under the side skirt. I had mine recentlly installed, but I didn't do the matte black vinyl rocker panel decals. Pic of my car below!

ok here are the pics...prep pics and pics of progress and final product.

Tape off directly on top of the outline on the skirt...

continue along but be careful as the line to follow is very hard to see once you get around where the rear door meets the front door...step back get as low as you can and eyeball it from several angles, you can always adjust tape. As you can see mine is a tad off there but I cover it up later with newspaper.

Newspaper and sheet were for possible overspray even though it is plasti dip and you can peel it off easily but just didn't want any little speckles getting anywhere. And don't hate on the mickey sheet lol

Start spraying from one end to the other holding can 6-8inchs away, this was my first base coat, which should be light.

After that first light coat, wait about 20-30minutes before applying each coat(the can says 4 hours between coats, no way was I doing that) you can start applying full coats not too heavy in one spot and work on getting the top or bottom portion of the skirt first as the spray will not cover entire skirt, then go back and do the same for the next section. Also want to make sure you get underneath slightly.

this was my 3rd coat, 2nd full coat not counting the first base coat...

progress on 4th coat, 3 full coats...

5th coat, 4 Full... and that's where I stopped. You can do as much or little as you like its personal preference to as how light/dark you want it.

now I just removed the newspaper first and left the green tape on for about 2-3 hours to make sure that it dries. Because I made the mistake of taking the green tape off maybe 20 minutes after and the tape pulled some paint off on rocker so I had to peel it all off and do it over. Could not cover it up with paint I tried and it didn't look right for me.

ok so after you wait a few hours, you can start peeling the green tape off but another tip, don't just pull it off fast, keep slight pressure on tape and pull in upward angle not just straight across watching the tape as coming off.

and that's it guys, pretty simple and If you do mess up or don't like it just peel it off.
Enjoy

For a clean line shape of plasti dip you are suppose to peel off at the very last coat when it is WET!!!!!!

No hate on the Mickey sheet itself....but why ruin it?!? That's a cool looking sheet.

I'll be honest, I expected it to look like crap, but it looks good! Is your front lip also dipped?
