well I haven't heard of this company before...bms stage 1 will give you 220whp when the boost level is changed to 4psi. it only costs 400US. TMC claims they'll give you 14hp more but it costs double the price. plus most of us on this forum site are running the bms. you'll get more support if you need it.

Just got my TMC stage 2 box for n20 328i. What can I say.. great service and excellent product!

Main differences between stage 1 and stage 2:

1) Addition of RPM sensor - this seems to have greatly reduced my problem of flooring the throttle in sport+ mode, not allowing the car to downshift, at 2.7-4k rpm and have the car jerking back and forth while accelerating. This problem also happens on my AFE tune.

2) Boost kicking in earlier - based on my dyno on stage 1, torque only really comes in at 2600rpm. But now with stage 2, it seems to kick in earlier at ~2000rpm.

3) More power at higher rpms - I always felt that power started to taper off around 5300rpm onwards. But with this stage 2 kit, it feels that the car maintains its power all the way to redline.

Overall this stage 2 product seems so much more refined than its initial release in terms of drivability. Also, I am getting so much more wheelspin now it's crazy...

Downside:
1) It's kinda hard for a non-mechanic like myself to connect the rpm sensor wiring when you have an AFE air intake blocking the way.

I will try to dyno when I have the chance.

Forgot to mention: In the past with TMC stage 1, during a warm-cold start (engine cooled for 5-6 hours but not cold enough for a cold start), there is some serious rough idling when you start the car and the A/C kicks in.

RPM will fluctuate between 1k and drop to 500 and goes back up to 1k again before falling to 650ish (default idling rpm?). The car will vibrate violently and feels like the engine is going to die.

But this problem has disappeared after installing stage 2.

Note: I also had this problem with AFE tune, but it was not that pronounced.

Had same problem, at first I thought it's the bms tune but it wasn't, my friend faced same problem with stock engine so I guessed it's flow, bad injection problem anyway I poured some cleaner in tank and voila the problem is gone same solution at in my friends car
