Is there such thing as a Free Small Business Checking Account?

Planning to open a business soon, and was wondering if any of you know any banks in Florida that offer free small business checking accounts?
Anyone had good/bad experiences with Bank of America or Wells Fargo?

Not one that is worth anything. How many transactions are you planning a month? Do you need e-commerce options?

If you don't have a high transaction business (meaning you aren't accepting lots of orders online or otherwise, not writing or depositing lots of checks), I think the Bank of America small business account is practically free.

Keep $4,000 in the account at all times, and they don't even charge you a maintenance fee. Only thing is the amount of transactions per month is laughable and would only be useful for a small, small, business, or perhaps a service business that was say project based and was paid on milestones or something.

So in the end, it all depends on what type of business you are running.

Got it.
Most of my transactions are through PayPal, so it shouldn't really matter then.

I have both BoA and Wells Fargo, free if you keep the minimum balance or use your debit card at least once a month. but excess transaction fees cost me 150/month.

I have one through PNC. They don't have too many locations in Florida, but they are growing.

I've used WF and BOA in the past for my personal accounts. Ended up closing them both when they changed the terms and started charging monthly fees. I'm now with Ally getting like 40 times the interest. BOA also put me through hell by reneging on a mortgage commitment so I have sworn not to use them ever again.
