F34 Sport Line Steering Wheel

I have had my Sport Line F34 for a week now and I love it. I just have 1 question... on both my build sheet and my online production order it states the sport line gets an M steering wheel. This is my 4th BMW 335 vehicle and the thinnest steering wheel of any BMW I have ever owned. Anybody else noticed this? I miss the thickness of the steering wheel in my '08, '10, & '11.

I will say the car seems to just get to 60 very effortlessly. The all wheel drive and Dynamic Handling feel great.

I think the Sport line gets a sport steering wheel, not an M.

Sport steering wheel vs M sport steering wheel

I believe the only "line" to get the fantastic looking and thick, smooth leather M sport steering wheel is the M sport line. I bought the then current M steering wheel on my sport package E90 from parts and had it replace the one that originally came. I was lucky because I found out BMW makes 2 airbags: one for sport wheels and one for regular so mine fit! HOWEVER, I believe the F34 sport wheel has the REGULAR airbag, so get the great M sport wheel you not only have to buy the M wheel but also the smaller M sport airbag. In my situation, I was able to sell the original wheel- but didn't get a lot from it.
Has anyone else dealt with this issue on the F30-4 series?

The sport line also has the black coated exhaust pipes and the m-sport does not. I cant wait for the M-sport kit to go on sale. I really just want the front nose piece and side skirts to be m-sport.

Luxury Line has M Wheel

I pick up my 328xi GT Luxury Line at the Welt next Wednesday. All the paperwork says it has the M Wheel as part of the Luxury Line.

But let me guess. It doesn't, right?

Congratulations

Very exciting! I've done European Delivery before, although that was before the Welt was built and it was a thrilling experience! Within 15 minutes of taking delivery, I was at 105 mph on the autobahn. (Probably not recommended for new engines but I was carried away!) If possible, will you post some picture of your baby's "birth" and tell us about where you went.
Remember, "ausfart" means "exit" and not gas (the human kind)!

Read under Sport Line...

Then look at M-Sport

I now have a case open with BMWUSA. I have printed out the webpage, documents, production sheet and snapped screen shots. There will be an M steering wheel in the car in my near future methinks! Fingers crossed.

Wonder if I'll get any other surprises when I take delivery next Wednesday, besides the M wheel?

Did you order with ALL Season Tires or The Pirelli P7 Performance Tires.

Opt 840?

No, just the 18" that come with the Luxury Line. Did you get a surprise with what you ordered?

No i knew what I was getting, except for the steering wheel, but the option 840 adds the increased top speed limiter to 155mph in US and adds all season tires. If you don't add the 840 option the top speed limiter kicks on at 121 bc the cars are equipped with all-season tires and its a liability to sell a car with all seasons and take it over 120mph.

What else did you order on your car? Any harmon/karden or tech packages?

Open Case

You refer to an "open case" regarding the M sport steering wheel. Can you share details about this please. I would love to get the M sport steering wheel on a luxury line. Please keep us posted as developments occur.

wat

Somebody on the line in Dingolfing is drinking in the employee lounge

Personally I don't mind if the car has the regular wheel even if the sport line says it comes with an M wheel. Would be nice to own a non-M without ///Marketing stickers all over it, it's excessive on my M3 and it's an M car
