Next service in 4600 miles?

I had a nail in my tire at 12K miles, and took care of it at the
dealer. Since I was almost due for my first oil change (indicator was
showing 300 miles), they decided to change my oil and oil filter as
well. (I did do an oil change at 7k miles, but they didn't know about
that.)

After the oil change, it's showing that next service is due in 4600
miles. Why would it show that? Is there something the dealer needs to do at 16,600 miles?

Have a look at your check control? could possibly be brakes?

Check control doesn't say anything about it. I guess I will call up the dealer to see what it is.

Look at the service required screen on iDrive. Vehicle Info -> Vehicle Status and select Service required (second from the bottom, not Check control).

that will show you the miles until each item needs service (front brakes, oil, rear brakes, brake fluid, etc).

The Cluster screen always shows the minimum value.

My cluster shows needing service in 4800 miles. My Service required list shows that the Front brake pads will need service in 4800 miles, oil in 6000 miles, and rear brakes in 7000 miles.

Thanks. I found the info. It looks like I will need front break pads.
