Alignment, imbalanced wheels, worn tires, warped brakes. Any of those are good places to start

As noted above, but with some explanation. If it vibrates without the brakes applied, look at tires, or bent rim. I had this on our old E-46 it was TWO bent rims.

If it happens only when brakes applied, warped rotors, if there are many miles on the car, could be bushings, or other suspension issues.

-Bent wheel
-missing balancing wheel weight
-broken steel belt inside of tire
-tire out of round from sitting parked for a very long time
-dirt or snow packed into inside of wheel
-wore out/messed up suspension component

If only while braking
-uneven pad deposits on rotor (commonly refered to as wrapped rotor)
-wore out suspension components
-broken tire belt

Recently experienced this in my F350, everything looked right on tires & recently had an alignment. Turns out it was caused from getting a tire plugged where I had had a screw. The belts were separated and it caused a very small knot that made the whole damn truck bounce.
