Car noticeably quieter after JB4 install

Stock exhaust.
Golf tee mod.
Cyba tips.
JB4 open flap.

Yes the tips shouldn't make a difference, but the car was 100% louder after I put them on. I normally got a pretty loud gurgle sound especially when it was dropping into low RPM's and when I would shift.

Now with the JB4 the gurgle is gone and the car seems quieter. Anyone else experience this? Could it be due to the fact that the powerband is so much smoother now?

Possibly something to do with the the wastegate settings on the jb4, most people experience the opposite of what your claiming though.

On the WG setting if I set it to 0 the exhaust is much louder and pops, but when its at 3 it does not sound that loud or pop that much.

It may seem quieter at idle but your car should sound more aggressive during WOT. You can purchase the BMS cowls and DCI if you want to hear your turbo's more or get DP's

Where do you make this adjustment?

Exactly why I'm surprised.

It's not even at idle that it sounds quieter, like I mentioned earlier the gurgle is almost completely gone.

In the user interface for the jb4 there will be a user adjusyment screen. Set wastegate position to about 33 and see what happens. Remember to note what youve changed it from incase you want to go back.

Just did this and it's 100% louder. It's not as smooth, but it's definitely louder.

your car is quieter because default wastegate position set high (it defaults at 80) which cause the wastegates to be in a more closed position than stock. When wastegates are more closed, the car will be quieter

Will having the wastegate set to 0 cause any problems? The car is much louder right now and I love the sound.
