Hello, this is my first post but been lurking for a while.

Waiting on my first BMW (435i xdrive msport) and when I call the hotline with my production number it says the vehicle is complete and awaiting shipment. Does anyone know how long it typically takes for the car to be put on a boat? It's been about 5 days now...

most up to date info would be from you CA-- give him/her a call and ask, they would be able to give you the ship name, if its made a ship already (as the online system/phone system is usually a few days behind)

if you have been at port for 5 days...then theres a chance your car may already be on a ship.. it all depends on how long its been there and how many cars are ahead.

In my experiences, my E90 was at port 2 days before getting a ship, my E92 was there just 1 day, and my F30 was waiting 12-13 days.

I also have a 435 currenty in production, and it should
be done by Saturday--there is one ship leaving each day next week Monday-Wednesday, and I'm praying I make one of those

Thanks sp82, I am dizzy with anticipation for my F32. I think I'll email my dealer as you suggested and hopefully get some good news. I hope your car gets on a ship ASAP!

call the hotline, press 2. say representative; ask the rep to help you retrieve an updated status on your vehicle production.

my f32 was finished production on 9/30, at port on 10/2, left 10/7

My F34 was finished 10/2 and at port 10/4, and is still at port. For whatever reason it didn't make the 10/7 sailing and the next sailing (that comes to west coast) appears to be on 10/19.

Rowat - how did you find out about the shipping schedule? Any chance you know the schedule for east coast? (I believe my port is NY)

W&W website, search for ports leaving:

germany to US
bremerhaven to NY

a ship just left today called "TURANDOT" should arrive to NY 10/28

next one is "DON JUAN" leaving germany 10/21, arriving NY 11/6

http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/

you can also track your vehicle using your VIN # in the cargo ID

Garage List
2017 BMW X3 35i  [0.00]
My CA indicated that my car will be shipped to Baltimore. Anyone have experience getting cars through there?

I'm currently in status 151 with an estimated completion date of 10/21. Hoping to be on a 10/25 or 10/28 sailing from Bremerhaven to Baltimore.

EDIT: estimated completion date moved up to 10/19!

Hey guys,
First time posting, please forgive me if my question is dumb but this whole tracking vehicles thing, do I just get the VIN and call the BMW 1800 number? I'm waiting for my third BMW now and this is the first I've heard of this haha! Also, I'm in Canada- so I guess I should ask if the production tracking service is available here too?

You can use either the VIN or the production order number. I had the production order number for the Build Sheet before I had the VIN, so I used that.

If you want all the details, check out the thread at the top of the forum.

Here's the note I have for myself:

BMW Status Info: 1-800-831-1117; say “Vehicle Production Status” and then read out your production number

Hopefully, this will work for cars shipped to Canada as well!

to do it quicker, dial the 800#, press 2 on the keypad. enter in your production # on keypad, then press 1 after that -- rather than speaking the numbers

I wish I had known that! I've gotten pretty quick at speaking the options clearly (and you can interrupt the prompts) but I'm always self-conscious about speaking to the phone like that.

Thanks!
