I tried to look for this info on google and forums but couldn't find the info.
I think I did however read somewhere that X5's "adaptive drive" is only on the front side and the rear have some kind of regular suspension(damper). I believe Adaptive Drive and Msport Adaptive Suspension are same thing.

Just wanting to make sure, does all four wheels have adaptive suspension on each end? If not, for my curiosity, why would they place only on one side?

All four wheels have adaptive dampers. You may have read that the vertical sensors are set up in different configurations depending on the adaptive system fitted to a particular model. Not all adaptive suspension systems have satellite vertical sensors on all four dampers.
