Question M235i Exhaust

So what does everyone interpret "specially tuned exhaust" to mean (as per M235i highlights •Specially tuned exhaust):
Where would this "specially tuned exhaust" fall in line compared to the 335is "sport exhaust" and the 135is "performance exhaust?"

I'm trying to figure out if I would need to install the M performance exhaust (assuming it is available for the M235i). I enjoy the exhaust on my 335is, but I would prefer it to be louder, similar to the 135is

Given that the M235i is pretty much the 135is replacement, I hope it means an exhaust very similar to the 135is.

They are probably already pissed with my 335is exhaust when I go to the gym at 3:45 in the morning

The question I'm asking myself is stick with the stock exhaust or just pony up for an Akra exhaust?

^^ Ti or SS?

While not the best replacement for real-life, I was pretty disappointed with YouTube videos of the 435i and 135i M Performance exhausts.

the performance exhaust in the 135is is soooo good. significantly louder than the 335is setup. I hope the M235 comes with that for you guys!

I don't think it will. Just some "specially tuned exhaust."
PE will definitely need to be added for me, along with some other goodies

So are these the 19" M-performance wheels? I guess I prefer the 18", but really I'm not digging either the 18" or 19" that much. I like my wheels concaved. Let's slap some 19" #313s on this bad boy!

Not sure if the following post is true, but from the cover story yesterday regarding the M5 Ring Taxi crash, someone posted the following:

Confirmed as FACT (at least for the M5/M6)...

https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/press...tem=node__7309

Quote:
Offering a combination of lower weight, increased performance and a unique sound, the BMW M Performance Exhaust System was jointly developed by BMW M GmbH and exhaust specialists Akrapovič and is made completely from titanium. The BMW M Performance Exhaust System is offered both for the BMW M5 and for all variants of the BMW M6, it further enhances the characteristic sound of the 560 hp high-revving M Twin PowerTurbo V8 engine. Akrapovič, -also an official partner of BMW Motorsport- is one of the leading manufacturers of titanium exhaust systems. Thanks to the use of this material, the BMW M Performance Exhaust System is exceptionally heat-and corrosion-resistant and lightweight. The reduction in weight compared to the standard exhaust system amounts to more than 22 lbs (10 kilograms).
Now the question would be slip-on vs evolution

Nice! However I'm thinking maybe they collaborated with Akra since they're M cars and not the normal production lineup.

Hope I'm wrong though!

Correct. Like my Nismo S-Tune exhaust is actually manufactured by Fujitsubo and very close to their Legalis R. Different products but very similar.

I'll reserve judgement on which one is better when we hear both (and compare price tags!)

Well I know the M Performance will probably be the cheaper one since the Akra for the F30 is like $3k I think?

Also with the M Performance parts, I know for every 3 you purchase you get a subsidized price which is like 40% off

Correct but both the 335i and 435i Akra are made of stainless steel and not titanium.

They say you get the same gains as full titanium less the weight savings and ultimately better sound (from an evo setup)

The M Performance just over a grand.... (but muffler only).

Yes, based on conversations that I have had with others on the forum, these seem to be the consensus for the performance wheel option.

I like the design of the 18s, but don't like the gun metal finish...

LOL... anyone notice in the video at about 0:45" how the Porsche Cayenne on the side street backed up when the saw/heard the 135 coming? Not that I blame the guy, the Bimmer was fishtailing noticeably. Porsche driver to his passenger: "Typical asshat BMW driver!"
